Spring Time Weather

Who wants to do anything school related when its SO nice outside? I sure don't. It's great timing with finals starting on Saturday. Ugh. There's a light at the end of the tunnel! It's faint and really small...but I can see it!

One Tree Hill

I have to admit the undeniable. The One Tree Hill Series is coming to a close TONIGHT! After 9 seasons my Wednesday nights will never be the same. My heart forever will belong to James Lafferty. Nathan and Haley will forever be my favorite couple! Lucas is hot stuff. My first girl will be named Payton, and I love getting the comment "You look like Sophia Bush". Tonight is the night I have to admit that Tree Hill, NC isn't a real city and that all of my favorite characters don't really exist. Ok, maybe I can hold on to that for a little longer. At least it's a beautiful day today!! Might make tonight a little easier :( I'm a dork I know.

Chocolate Cheesecake

Happy April!!

I was feeling domestic this weekend and decided to make dinner on Sunday and I made cheesecake (Dave's favorite). Well, I was planning on attending the afternoon session of General Conference (click here to learn more) which meant I wouldn't have a whole lot of time to cook my stew! Therefore, my body decides to wake me up at 6am Sunday morning obviously telling me I need to start cooking! So I headed downstairs and starting the cheesecake...long into this process I realized I forgot the melted chocolate after pouring the batter into my already-baked-crust...hence the trash picture. However, the second batch turned out beautifully!! I didn't get a picture of the stew because at that point the early morning was starting to hit me...

The first batch...
...in the trash
Much better!

Amoxicillin

Just sitting here studying about the esophagus for my ginormous physiology test I have to take on Monday and it reminded me of amoxicillin. For those of you who don't understand doctor language...it's the pink bubble gum tasting medicine you used to love as a kid. I used to get really excited when I got strep throat cause it meant I got to take bubble gum medicine!!! (after the terrifying throat culture...) This stuff:

And the best part about it...Amanda is allergic to penicillin so I may have rubbed it in her face just a little :)

So I'm here waiting for my 7am all excited cause my professor was going to bring bagels. Apparently Einsteins is closed...such a disappointment! There is one opening on a main corner in Provo that I always pass...I could be in trouble!

Dave is at FTX until tomorrow afternoon so I get a little me time. AKA studying for physiology. General Conference is this weekend!! Church of the sofa plus hearing from the leaders of our church is very exciting to me! Also, I get to go to Conference on Sunday! Looks like a good weekend ahead. :)

Happy Friday!!

Climbing Monkey

I had a great weekend! Friday I went up skiing with some family friends from back home who were vacationing up in Park City. Friday night we had a quadruple date to the Quarry. After that my legs and forearms had enough.

Saturday, we went and saw Hunger Games!! I love love loved it! Except for the fact that they don't explain that Katniss was just kissing Peeta for the games! Next movie...? We saw hunger games at 12pm. I came back and took a 4 hour nap. Then we watched "The Big Year" with Jack Black, Steve Martin, and Owen Wilson. They are birders...and it's pretty funny. As Dave would say, "It had good theme!"

Sunday, I had a great fast and testimony meeting and then two great lessons. Both focused on enduring to the end...no matter how tough it may get. Here are some scriptures: 2 Nephi 31, Helaman 5:12, D&C 121:7-8. Write down what your top priority in life is at this moment? Is that helping you endure to the end? If not, change it!

Happy Sunday! Here are some pictures :)

He really likes smiling...there's actually a story behind this one. haha
