The other day I bought 3 bananas. I woke up this morning to only 2. Now there are 3 again. Don't ask questions...I don't have the answers. The End.

San Diego, You've Been Jimmered.
Tuesday, January 25, 2011
Dear Cougar Fans,
I expect nothing less than loud, energetic fans dominating the stands of the Marriott Center tomorrow. Prepare for this game throughout the day by wearing blue/white and playing serious pump up music wherever you may reside. While in class, if the teacher calls on you--the best answer is either Fredette, Emory, or Collinsworth. If you happen to be watching the game from your couch...I expect to hear you screaming just as loud as those in the gym. Tomorrow is a big one...go big, or go home!
Sincerely,
Maggie
PS. San Diego State, prepare to be jimmered.

My Day
My last post was actually on Monday night still so this is my Tuesday post. Just thought I would post what I did today since I know my life is so thrilling :)
Woke up around 9
Went to gym
Came back to the dorm
Showered
Laundry/Homework in between*
Cleaned my room for cleaning checks**
Went to the bank/target
Back to the dorm
Back to the dorm
Skyped with Corinne
Watched the Cougs defeat the Horned Frogs
Had a dance party
Now doing more homework.
*Not sure if I've mentioned my stress when it comes to doing laundry in the dorms. I hate it and I really have no idea why it causes me so my anxiety! You walk downstairs with all of your stuff only to find all the washers taken with 30 min still left on them. You go back up and race back down only to find someone beat you to the first washer by half a second! You finally get a washer and it doesn't take your card. You manage to get it started, let it wash, and come back down to move it and there are no dryers available. When a dryer opens up same deal happens with your card. The dryer starts up and you come back down when you thought it was finished only to find your dryer filled with someone elses clothes. Where did they put yours!? You hunt the laundry room to find them! See what I mean!! It's just such a process...
**I moved dorm rooms and I made sure to do a really thorough job my first cleaning check. I get back from the basketball game to find that I didn't vacuum well enough and the window wasn't clean apparently. KayCee got away with nothing-that little stinker! :(
And there is my day! Very productive I must admit

The Cube
Before Thanksgiving I was in a car accident-don't worry...wasn't my fault!- and I left my car to get repaired before I left for Winter break. Hoping it would be finished, I came back to find that it was going to be needed for another 2 weeks. I didn't think I was allowed to have a rental car, but I happened to get a call from Hertz saying their insurance had put in a reservation for me to have a rental car. So...I head off to the Hertz location with my friend Maria. We get there and the guys are like, "We've got a lot of red cars out there..." but no. I get the Cube! I never thought I would drive a box car--I always made fun of them, but I guess this is karma. However, it's actually starting to grow on me! (I still miss my car :(
ANYWAYS, Maria and I were dying of laughter on the way back to the dorms and all we can think about is this commercial. We thought it was a Cube commercial but it's actually for a Kia. However, we decided to make a remake of this commercial with my new wheels. It was quite the adventure I must say!

Oh Hey, Blog!
Apparently I have forgotten this thing existed. Sorry for the lack of attention. I will try to make it up to you right now!
I'm all moved into my new room. I would take a picture but it pretty much looks exactly like the last one. In fact Corinne wondered if I honestly had moved when I first skyped with her. KayCee my new roommate is only the greatest. However, she manages to disappear on the weekends and transforms into a BYU gymnast. Yeah, I'd say that's pretty cool! I love my ward- I knew a lot of them, but it's just getter even better each day. Maria, the cheerleader friend (this might get confusing...) is insane and keeps me on my toes. Carly, cute as a button and would probably never kill an ant, adventures with me everywhere. Celinda just serenaded KayCee and me with her lovely guitar abilities. ANYWAY, lets just say Chipman 1200 is a little crazy.
Classes...so far so good, but this is what I thought at the beginning of last semester haha. My credit load is lighter, but work wise might end up being the same we shall see. 2 things I definitely did right this semester: 1) No classes earlier than 11am. 2) No classes Tues/Thurs. I got a TON of stuff done today because I wasn't interrupted with classes scattered throughout the day. My sister has also established her nap system on Mon and Wednesday. She's done at the EXACT same time in the EXACT same building that I walk through to get to my first class and then I don't see her until 2 hours later in Generally Microbiology (which I will also get to). So what does she do? She takes my keys and goes and naps in my bed...as long as she buys me a bagel before class on Mondays (No break time) I'm perfectly ok with that. Just for future references, Amanda will be napping from 11-12:30 on Mondays and Wednesday: Do not disturb! After her nap he mosey on over to Microbio where we convinced our teacher must me a germaphobe, but who wouldn't be if you studied bacteria and viruses in the air and on your tongue or in your body...yeah it's gross to think about and I almost threw up on Monday...ask Amanda for the picture if you REALLY want to. Anyways! We pretty much sit there laughing the whole time about what nerds we are. Good job Mama, you managed to produce two people who enjoy learning and can't just not study.
My illness...I'm not sure what you all may have heard, but at this point I don't know what exactly I have so make up whatever your little heart desires! I was tested for flu and strep and mono was indecisive. However, I'm not as tired as last week and I've heard mono takes forever to get over. I once had a fever of 102 and I still have a sore throat, but Advil seems to be doing justice. After sitting and waiting for 2 lab tests the doctors basically told me....drink lots of fluids and take Advil....so helpful. I went and crashed on my sisters couch in front of the TV for pretty much the rest of the day. Then, I managed to make it back to my dorm room when I went back to bed. Luckily I'm able to make it to class...so I'm on the upswing.
This post has no pictures! I'm sorry if you are bored of my lame story telling, but lucky for you I'm done! Happy Tuesday!

New Years
This New Years I decided to keep my resolutions small in numbers. I think in years past I would make a list of 10+ items and it was almost hard to keep tract of them all. The way I see my resolutions this year is that accomplishing them will allow my other smaller resolutions to kind of fall into place. Now you might be wondering if I'm going to get to my New Years Resolutions, and you might be a little disappointed that I won't be sharing them on my blog. The basis behind my resolutions is much more focused on ways that I can become the person I want to be. I always had this vision of what I would be like in the next 5 years, and I realized that isn't going to happen unless I work for it.
2010, it has been one heck of a ride!
-I turned 18!
-We had a huge snow storm around my birthday that got us out of school for a week-second semester senior year=perfect timing!
-I went to Disney World with my family in cold January.
-I picked up a snowboard and fell in love.
-I sang with the Washington Chorus and in Carnegie Hall
-I got asked to Prom at 4:30 in the morning... Prom was great too!
-I frolicked in a field
-I saw the Kirtland Temple
-I said goodbye to a good friend.
-I worked at one of the greatest places, with the greatest people over the summer
-I got accepted to BYU and completed my first semester!
-I baked cookies on a bell tower light, hiked Y-mountain and trails up in UT, went to lots of football and soccer games, went to enough dance parties to last the rest of my life, got a surprise visit from KP, went to a tumbling gym, went to Temple Square, saw Harry Potter 7! part 1, got awesome grades that I'm extremely proud of, lastly: I met some of the coolest people and couldn't be happier out there!
I read over this list and it doesn't include all the odds and ends, but it's all I could think of right now haha. It's amazing all the things that can happen in a year!!
I've learned a TON about myself these last 365 days. I'm proud of who I am, but I definitely have a lot to learn. I love my family and I love my friends both from Whitman and BYU--I have some of the greatest memories from this year and it's all because of them.
2011, you've got big shoes to fill, but I'm excited to see what you've got in store! :)
Happy New Years!!
