You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch

Tootsie, Pop, Scott, Jenny, Nicholas, Michael, Debbie, Madeline, Amanda, and myself (I don't think I missed anyone!) went to the Gaylord National Harbor ICE....exhibit? I guess you could call it that.

We arrive all bundle up expecting to wait in a massive line until we can go through--thanks Toots ;) but instead you go through a line inside the first bubble and look at all these Dr. Seuss pictures and descriptions of how the ice is built.

We finally arrive at the "Park Pick Up!" and gained 150 pounds with these jackets.
Then it was finally time to enter the giant freezer/who-ville. The parkas were great obviously, but man! it was cold in there. 9 degrees to be exact!
After we returned our parkas, our body temperatures returned to normal, and we saw the giant Christmas tree made out of PEEPS....

...we went over to the Gaylord Hotel to see the the lights and the glass Christmas tree.

What a fun night! Thanks Toots and Pop for taking us! It was quite the adventure :)

I've Moved!

I have switched dorm buildings for winter and I am SO excited for this upcoming semester. For those who send me packages aka my mom and grandparents-and just for the heck of posting it-here is my new address:

1221 Chipman Hall
Provo, UT 84604

Symmetrical...easy to remember, and I'm a descendant of Stephen L. Chipman--nifty fact! If you accidentally send something to my old address it should be forwarded to me with the change of address card. PS. I love mail!! wink wink.

DC Temple

I'm slowly getting over the idea that Christmas is over...only 362 days until it comes again. Until then, I've been using my new Christmas present! I went over to the temple on Sunday in the flurries and took these pictures:

Merry Christmas

IT'S HERE!! Christmas has finally arrived!! (even though I only have another hour until the saddest day of the year begins...but we won't talk about that right now) Play by play of the past 24 hours. I slept downstairs in my sister room with her and we fell asleep pretty quickly after watching Inception. I woke up around 6:30 and was sleeping on and off until Manda woke up at 8:30 and our nonsense activities began. We had to wait until Toots and Pop came over, so we were locked in the basement cave for 2 hours. We played lots of online computer games included Deal or No Deal and Sporcle.com (always kills time). Finally, they arrived and we made our way upstairs. Stockings then presents, and guess what I got. My new CAMERA!! Yup, I got my Nikon 3100. Pictures below....

Then we ate the Huguely Christmas Breakfast of Cream Chip Beef. We have another name for it that won't be mentioned here. Then it was play time with my new toy and nap time for the rest of the family. Then we went to extended family Huguely Dinner at Columbia. Eat, Eat, and Eat! Now I'm here stuffed, updating my blog and trying not to think about tomorrow :( Ok Ok...Picture time!

However, underneath all the stockings, presents and food lies the real meaning of Christmas. The birth of Jesus Christ. He is the Savior of the world and He's the one who sacrificed it all for us. Let us not forget Him throughout the year, but especially on this special day. Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

I was complaining to Corinne that Christmas was taking way too long to get here. The first part of December flew by, but I think being in college helped that and this week has just been dragging on!! Is it just me? or is it just me?! Then Corinne responded politely yesterday, "No it's not! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve Eve!" Well, she's right! Happy Christmas Eve Eve Everyone!! (that was a lot of E's)

That's right! No one make fun of my Santa!

It's Beginning To Smell A Lot Like Christmas

Christmas is only 4 days away!! Yes, you only have 4 more days to celebrate the greatest holiday of the year. It is so great to be home and to snuggle up in my bed and see all my friends from home. I'm excited for Saturday! I usually go over to my grandparents house for Christmas Eve and then wake up to open stockings and presents and eat a yummy breakfast with them. However, my aunt and uncle are rebuilding their house so they are camped out at my grandparents house. Plan B? I'm staying in my house Christmas Eve and my grandparents are coming over Christmas morning...I guess that will do.

So..until Saturday what have been up to you ask? I've been visiting people from Whitman, I went to Whitman and saw those teachers I miss aka Mr. Michaels, Mr. Hays/Ms. Thatcher, and Coach Frank. I went to Silver Diner at 12:30 last night with Corinne and Andrew for Andrew's 18th Birthday!! Now, I'm baking Banana Walnut Bread and Gingerbread Cookies :) Smells pretty darn good in my house!

Oh, no, the sleigh, the presents, they'll be destroyed, and I care!
What is the deal?

Missionaries

I went to the temple about a week ago just to study for a Book of Mormon exam and I happened to be there when all the missionaries from the MTC came for their weekly visits. (Two Elders called me Sister and asked me how I was doing...I must admit it was super cute!) It was awesome to see all these ladies and gents who are devoting so much of their time for our church. I know they all chose to go on a mission and I know wherever they are headed they will do amazing work. So-here's my post to the missionaries. You all amaze me!

And to my missionaries!

Throwback picture!! EFY 2006

These two are my best friends and boy do I miss them a lot. Elder Ben Snow (right) in Las Vegas, Nevada will be home in August! Elder Matt Wilcox (left) in Phnom Penh Cambodia comes home July 2012.

If missionaries knock on your door-let them in! You never know who's hoping their ok and rooting for them back home.
