Vacuums
I love them and I hate them. I love them when they suck up everything from my carpet (even though the vacuums in the dorms are kind of crummy). I love when I'm done with my vacuum symbolizing my room is completely clean (always the last thing I do). However, what I DON'T like is when it's my sleep in day and the person who cleans our hallway likes to vacuum and bang as hard as she possibly can on my door. Startles me every time. Sometimes by that point I want to just tell her that I will vacuum! Just please stop banging on my door really early in the morning! Ok ok, enough complaining.
Talking about the love I have for my vacuum, I am kind of obsessed with being clean this semester. I've never been "messy" except for clothes on the ground at my room at home, but for some reason I love to clean my room. I don't feel like I can start my day if my room is not spotless. On Sunday, I started with my closet. I went through and refolded and got rid of the clothes I didn't want. KayCee wakes up from her nap and is like, "What are you doing?!" "Cleaning my side...is that ok?" (she sounded so annoyed) "No that's fine, just confused" haha not sure if she even remembers saying this to me. So my closet is all nicely folded and organized.

Then it was time for my desk. I wiped every shelf and replaced all my photos. I threw a couple of things on my bulletin boards (never my syllabi for my classes), reorganized my books, wrapped the cords under my desk, cleaned out my shelves on the side...call me a clean freak, but thats just me.

I disinfected my sink and my shower stuff and then cleaned out my plastic shelf-like-container-thing (not sure what else to call it hah). Then it was time to conquer the bed. I pulled everything out from underneath my bed. Threw away anything I would never use or haven't used in a really long time. Cleaned off my table and of course made my bed. Making my bed. I have done it every morning without fail this semester and I've decided that is one of my projects for the summer. It just makes a room look organized. Don't get me wrong I use to never make my bed and if you are one of those people...start! It'll be worth it. Again, call me a weirdo, but hey at least my room is clean.
I vacuumed, and that is the end of my cleaning story. Hope I didn't bore you with my excitement of my room these days. Now it's off to write a 8 page paper. Woohoo! Happy Tuesday!!

What A Season
The mighty cougars were defeated last night by San Diego State during the Mountain West Conference. However, we as proud fans still hold our heads high and celebrate the fantastic season that they have had. So long, Jimmer and Jackson. You both will be missed. Congratulations Cougars! Go BYU!!

Taste of Summer
So it may not have been beach weather, but man oh man it sure felt nice today! With a high of 60 degrees (ok, it feels really warm compared to freezing all the time) I could just tell it was going to be such a good day. Bushie is "Chris-less" for a few days while everyone is back home in MD, so I woke up and took her to school (I am such a good friend) then off to the gym by 8:00. Went to the gym, came back, showered, finished homework, skyped my mama, went to Writing for an hour, came back, did my Book of Mormon homework, then went to the temple to take these pictures...
By that point it was off to go pick Bushie up from school. I ate a yummy peanut butter sandwich and took a nice long 3 hour nap. Then it was time...time to watch the cougars dominate in Vegas. Now I am updating this blog and playing a game of yahtzee with Bushie...and she's killing me sadly. 280-465. yeah. There was a movie planned with Charlie Brown, but she has a test tomorrow--so it might just be pancake time. Overall, this weather has just made me very happy today!! Plus, IT'S FRIDAY! Happy weekend Everyone :)

Fruity Pebbles
Some may call me a 5-year-old, but I say ok! as long as I'm allowed to continue to eat my Fruity Pebbles. While I was sitting at my nice wooden desk pushing through my writing homework (which I royally screwed up and have to do all over again) I decided what better way to pick my spirits back up than a nice big bowl of Fruity Pebbles! It is pretty much my favorite sugar cereal of all time and I will continue to eat it until I can't any longer (which would be a very sad day). The red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink colors just bring a smile to my face!..Hence the picture. I love the way the pebbles go from crunchy to soft once the milk is absorbed and it just tastes so stinking good! Thank you, Post cereal, for making each day that much better by supplying me with such a yummy bowl of goodness!

301
Because it was my mama's birthday yesterday I couldn't steal her thunder, but now I am allowed to say that I officially have a place to live next year!! Took us long enough right? Funny thing: we are just taking Carly's sisters apartment. Come next fall I will be residing in #301 of The Avenues.

Now get this...I live in the (301) area code back home...My home address number is 301...and I will now be living in apartment 301...coincidence?
We have a cute Blue kitchen; it really is almost that color blue. A hideous couch that can easily be fixed by a slip cover. Vaulted ceilings with a loft up stairs. 4 (well, 5 if you include the loft and our ghost roommate) bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's quite cozy and I'm super happy!! Plus, it's only a 15 min walk to campus! Easy peasy.

Happy Birthday, Mama!
Today is my mama's birthday! She is the best mama I know and I wouldn't trade her for anyone. This woman does a lot for me and my sister. She raised me and my sister all by herself since I was 3. A 6 and a 3 year old...I'm impressed. And I must say, I think we turned out alright :)
Some things that I'll always remember about my mama:
1. She used to hold my hand when I had nightmares.
2. Her favorite question to ask us when we were sick is, "Do you feel like you're going to throw up?" No wonder I'm afraid of it now--probably think it's going to happen every time I get sick.
3. We used to have sleepovers in her big bed
4. Our love for biggest loser is kind of a problem
5. Annual Christmas Light Drives (insert hand-wrapping-the-tree movement here ;)
6. This woman keeps her nightgowns for FOREVER!
7. Dinners when we were younger included: cheeseburgers, apple (no skin of course), carrots or maybe peas....chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese...cereal...
8. Cereal! She used to get up and pour my cereal in the morning before carpool came to pick me up.
9. She tends to make up song lyrics
10. She loves sweats and sloggers...yeah sloggers
11. Whenever she washes her face she puts this rope like thing on her head to hold her hair back...don't ask me why this stands out...
12. She pretty much knows the answer to any real life question. Not a whole lot about school questions though :)
13. Unlike the Diet Coke addicts in our family, my mama used to be a Coke lover, which then was passed on to me, but now we happily drink water all the time!
14. She has worn the same earrings since I can remember.
15. This mother of mine can make some pretty scary faces. Just don't make her mad which rarely happens anyway.
16. She loves me even when I destroy the house with Christmas decorations each year.
17. Chocolate is her weakness, and she pretty much died when baked potato soup was no longer at Houston's.
18. She sleeps with a tissue in her hand
19. I still find hideous turtlenecks in her closet along with other interest looking apparel.
20. She's the only person I know that says "Booger snots" in the place of other bad words.
Ok ok..enough of the silly stuff.
21. My mama is the only person who calls me "magster baby"
22. She would do just about anything for me and my sister. From big things all the way down to simple simple things
23. Whenever we feel sad my first response "Do you need a hug?" Which always makes me feel better.
24. I skype with her every morning and it is the highlight of my day
25. She is the greatest mama and I couldn't ask for anyone better.
Mama,
Thanks for putting up with me for 19 years. I know I wasn't the easiest child, but look at me now! All because of you :) Mama, hope you have a great day, and know that at least 2 people in UT love you. PS. That's a nice green turtleneck sweater you have on today :)
Love,
Your magster baby!
